Wednesdays run was awesome! My feed on the right updates when I log it in garmin connect :) its slowly going faster and I'm still enjoying it!
Today's bench session went ok to, just not as strong but good pump and good pace!
I've been doing new stuff at work, programming tasks and now I've managed to release my first fix/module and its so much fun!!! Time just flies!
Tuesday, May 29
Still not back in full force in the gym. Not stressing about it, not really that motivated haha but had a good session, good pump and will be sore tomorrow I reckon! Were doing a "flat" runt tomorrow (luckily)
Freezing outside, compared to last week, perfect for running thinking about running a 10 k comp in September, like to have something to train towards! I'll see if I know anyone that's going to run it! Would like the garmin info to be displayed in metric system, doesn't seem like its possible ATM... Early bedtime today!

so the weekend...
I was dog-sitting this weekend. 3 large, flat-coated retrievers.
They arrived Friday night and stayed till Sunday. Friday night we went for a walk, sorting out the pack. Then home and bed. In the middle of the night my neighbors came home.
The dogs scared me half to death... barking and making a ruckus... Saturday we took a long walk in the morning, cuddling a little, me just bumming around. Anneli, my friend came over and helped me. We took a walk and got some food, drank (little to much) some wine and had awesome thai food!
The we had the brilliant idea to go shake some booty. We went down to the local pub/club, watched Loreen win the eurovision song contest for Sweden. Shook a lot of ass, met a Aussie and a Irish dude that where special, shook some more booty and then walked home (barefoot) haha The neighbors must have loved us coming home cause we where greeted loudly... ah well, Im normally quiet so they have to survive it...
Sunday (after sleeping about 4 hours lol) we took a walk after a long "breakky" and then we saw this old fellow. He had fallen and was bleeding from the face. Horrible! Whats more upsetting is that it was a lot of people passing on the way to the mall and noone had helped him. We called the ambulance and tried to help him. Crazy! I cant understand whats wrong with people... he was obviously hurt... so upsetting... We made sure he was taken care of, went home and I tried to calm down. Thank god for miss calm and collected to help me out.
She went home after a while, I managed to squeeze in 45 min of sun baking (literally as it was hot as... no wind and on the balcony) The dogs got picked up (no dont want 3 massive dog, load of hair and tick yeeeeeeeeeeew) and then got ready to go see mum for mothers days dinner. Had awesome carpaccio and for main fish! Yum! Crashed about 10 lol very intense! The dogs where great, slept most of the time at home.

Great run! I did maybe 5:40 avg on the first section (after about 40 min I stopped and picked up my training partner that had hurt his calf and went to do some weights instead. We walked the last couple of K's
Sooo nice, beautiful weather and Im almost completely well!
Training deads yesterday, took it a bit easy :) Felt ok!
Getting dog company around 7 tonight! For the weekend <3 hill session tomorrow!
Thursday, May 24
Tuesday training was crap! Weak! Yesterday's running session a bit better. Kep talking pace, 7.5 km (forgot to start the time on my watch lol) but pulse about 150-155 bpm and I'm feeling okay today!
Date last night, najs! No spark but went for a walk along the water, nice and sunny and a nice chap so I enjoyed it anyhow!

Sunday was absolutely perfect. Laying like a dunnowhat on the balcony sunbaking and listening to a sound book. Dad picked me up and we went to Uppsala to have a look at my sis and her bf's apartment. After that we drove down to the town and had dinner in a great restaurant by the little river that runs through Uppsala.
And we finished the night off with a little walk and a Ice cream!
I feel better and did a easy session at the gym. Ill do one tomorrow as well, but a bit harder. Hopefully Ill be fine by Wednesday to go for a run (really missed it today!

So I'm extremely bored... Been reading up on PCOS and it's actually not unlikely I have it. It's apparently 2 camps of women who have it. The girls who are unlucky and get overweight issues, difficulity losing weight and then there is the athletic ones, tend to have it easy to build muscle, are competitive and lots of them do power sports... Sounds like anyone you kow lol (well building muscle is common for all, just more visible in athletic people)
The high testosterone levels generally makes you come int menopause later, so you can have kids later in life. Birth control pills helps. One should stay away from processed carb and keeping control of you calory intake is important since its easier to gain weight, and not a good kind, belly fat (where I put on weight).
So I'm staring to feel I have it, it's not really a disease tho thing, I certainly don't feel like it is. With hep you can get pregnant and with birth control pills you get the whole cycle so...
Anyway, I've started the hormones, well see what happens.
Friday, May 18
So running yesterday wasn't ehm that smart... Felt the cold hitting me lest night and haven't been great today. Was going to go sauna and try to squeeze down to -57 but doubt I will be able to function so not doing that...must going to give it my best considering and be happy with it... No point in forcing something and pay for it next week.
Starting my hormones tomorrow to, will be interesting to see how my body reacts, warning label says fluid retention, mood swings and all the other lovely PMS symptoms.
Thursday, May 17
So I went to the gynecologist yesterday since I have had some problems with my period, well have had none for a year. I thought this was because I had to little body fat but now that I have gained some its not starting. So I went for an exam. It appears that I have PCOS, but... I hardly have the symptoms...
Bo problem loosing weight for example, no excess body hair, well.. I have had a increase of 3 hairs on my liver spots in my face lol but I doubt that counts... I am not overweight... depressed, have diabetes or bad acne.
So Im a bit confused, but... it might also appear like I have it (tons of eggs) if my hormones have a hangup so Im hoping the hormones I got will start it up again and it will be okay. It doesn't bother me for some reason, I guess its because I dont really have the symptoms, it would be a biatch.. However it seems like I have some of the things some people describe, if you have this you produce a little bit more testosterone than normal and this causes you to have problems with the feeling of fullness. I am always hungry, that is true but not so I affects me and I do have some "low" periods (don't we all?) but wouldnt call it depression.
Ah well, it is what it is :) and keep your fingers crossed that it will sort it self out!

Today, my throat is fine, but my nose is stuffed. Weight has dropped to 58kg, way to early (doing a bit of empty for the comp on Saturday, well see if I can get down under 57)
I would really really like to go for a bit of a jogg but well see how I feel after cleaning my place up!
I wanna wear my pretty saconys hahaha and see if I can get my garmin forerunner to work properly (my last run it didnt pick up the GPS...)

Hmm maybe I overdid it today... Yesterday I managed 12.7 km on an avg 6.14min per/k. Today we did 3 hill laps! 8,49km, 53,36 min. 6.16 min/km. Biiit heavy in the end and a bit woosy now. Almost didn't manage to get my lunch down (now thats a strange thing for me haha) but last gym session tomorrow before Saturday comp and no hill running.Finger is a lot better now too!
Best Sunday in a while! Perfect weather, loved the run (well most of the time) then birthday celebration in the forest for Charlie! Just so good! Sofie has such a great imagination and the kids just loved it! Tricky "following the rope in the woods", whispering game, making swords and bbq sausages and candy! what more can you ask for! I loved it!Then home to get all my stuff together for my brothers birthday celebration. BBQ and loads of great food and wine! Sitting outside for the first time this year! Soooo good!
Saturday, May 12
Fridas Hill session sent Good. Bit tired in my legs but managed to "run" a little bit longer in the hills and we did 7.3 km (had to run past the post office to get my brothers birthday present :)
Today I managed to squash my small finger and had to cut my session in half, couldn't continue :( got my dead lifts in at least! It looks horrendous but doesn't hurt much anymore....
Tomorrow I'm aiming for 10ks, and 2 birthday celebrations :)
Friday, May 11
Long session at the gym yesterday, bench, back on track by the way! 60kg, as I've had a bit of a low period in benching... Anyway, shoulders, tricep and abs. A bit of foam roller as well! Not completely recovered in my legs, probably have to only do 2 hill sessions and one flat instead of 3 hills :)
Sleeping is shit, 6 hours tops but I don't feel tired so what the heck!
Wednesday, May 9
Run session today, slightly longer than the last couple of days. Hill and a little bit of rain. Great feeling still but my calves felt like baaaam when I finished as well as the soreness from squat session yesterday lol
Absolutely loved the shoes tho! Awesome! Our 2 longdistance runners joined (well since they are like 2 m tall they took two strides and where gone but it was great anyway lol saw the at the top :) )
Getting a garmin forerunner from my sister in the weekend so I can be a bit geeky and keep taps on my sessions!

Hey you guys! Sorry for the lack of posting. I have (to be honest) not had any interest in blogging... Well see how it goes this time ;)
So... whats new!
Starting a new job in a month time. I'm going to continue as a testing engineer but slowly move over to programming automated tests in java. I'm hating having to quit my current job (actually feel shit about it) but there are reasons for it that the Swedish office has nothing to do with so its a bit strange. Anyway, starting the 11th of June and Ive met up with the new workmates a couple of times and they are great.
Training wise, Ive redone my training. Im running well... jogging more like it... about 5 km 3 times a week. This is great! Its a round that makes me climb up a pretty high hill (used for downhill skiing during the winter. I do this twice and jog in between. The goal is to be able to "run" it!
Ive dropped the muscle building frame of mind and will be focusing on strength in the gym. Mainly on Squats, bench and dead-lift, ill be doing some assistance work tho since its good to keep the body in shape, especially shoulders for benching... So it looks like this, Monday - hill, Tuesday squat intense, Wednesday -hill, Thursday bench intense with shoulders, abs and a bit of arms. Friday - hill and then Saturday deads with back.(Ill probably swap one hill session to a flat run soon, don't want to over-train my calves...
I'm pretty much in love with my jogging/running as it gives me an incredible endorphin rush and I love being able to do this on my lunch. LOVE it!
Todays squat session went well, my body recovers real nice now that I don't overdo it in the gym. lower reps don't give you that gnarly soreness and I can do my "normal" weights so all good.
Ive thrown in rubber band squats to get used to having a lot of weight on my shoulders.
Got my new sneakers today and I cant wait to try them out!
It will be interesting to see how my body responds to this! Already Ive noticed positive changes, not extremely hungry all the time. I feel satisfied/content/happy/relaxed and powerful - strange description LOL but its probably the new "love".
